If you are getting the digital version of Call of Duty WW2, you will have the advantage of being able to preload the game early, allowing you to download all of the game’s files in advantage so you are ready the minute Activision switch those servers on.
We have confirmation that the Call of Duty WW2 preload on Xbox One is already live, almost three weeks before the official launch date of November 3.
Take a look at the screenshot below which was posted to Reddit recently, revealing that on Xbox One the game will have a 45GB file size.
That means if you have already got your Pro Edition sorted, you can start downloading the games files right now which is a very nice luxury to have.
Unfortunately, Sony are not as quick as Microsoft as there are no news on when the Call of Duty WW2 preload for PS4 will begin and it isn’t available now at the time of writing.
Are you happy about the 45GB file size considering previous COD games were well over 50GB? As soon as Sony wake up, we will update this article with the details on PS4 for you.
Update: We can confirm that the digital file size for Call of Duty WW2 on PS4 is 80GB, a huge difference compared to Xbox One – what do you think about this?
Let us know if you are preloading right now!
