If you are thinking about picking up yet another Call of Duty game this year when Ghosts releases, you will definitely be searching for any information regarding multiplayer mode. Activision and Infinity Ward have been unsurprisingly silent on the matter, but this week we’re pleased to be able to bring you a solid update on when we can finally expect to see the first Call of Duty Ghosts multiplayer gameplay.
From what we have seen from Ghosts so far, it looks like it is going to be a considerable step up from past games in the series. We finally have a Call of Duty game that is going to be built on a brand new engine and we can already see the benefits of this with the enhanced graphics – and the AI fish intelligence of course.
Multiplayer is what everyone wants to see though, especially with Battlefield 4 multiplayer reigning supreme at the moment. In our opinion, Infinity Ward has a tough task on their hands to come up with something that offers a completely fresh experience compared to what we saw with MW3 multiplayer – that includes the confirmed co-op mode as well.
Sorry I haven't been on twitter much lately. We are in our death march push to finish game. Lots left to do. Looking forward to MP in august

The good news, is that we can expect this information to come in August. Mark Rubin from Infinity Ward has already confirmed this on his Twitter account, even adding that the announcement will come in the middle of August, for a clearer guideline. Don’t forget that GamesCom 2013 takes place between 21-25 August, so it looks like the multiplayer reveal could come in conjunction with the event in Germany.
What are you honestly expecting to see from Call of Duty Ghosts multiplayer? Will you not buy it if it’s just the same rehashed formula, or are you thirsty for more at all costs?
