We are just days away from the annual Eurogamer Expo and for fans planning to attend this year, we have confirmation of an extra special treat this time around. You’ll want to start queuing as early as possible, as it looks like a free copy of Call of Duty Ghosts will be up for grabs.
Activision are perhaps not known for their generosity, but we can tell you that the publisher has lined up a great treat for the first 500 members of the public to play Call of Duty Ghosts at their booth. Upon doing so, you’ll be able to score yourself a free Prestige Edition of the game – the same £180 edition of the game that comes with a wearable 1080p water resistant tactical camera among other goodies.
It almost sounds too good to be true, but at the same time you can bet that chaos is going to ensue the moment that Eurogamer open their doors at Earls Court. Having visited the expo many times, we know how busy the crowds can get, especially those waiting to play Call of Duty each year – so expect massive queues.
You’ll be pleased to know that the 500 free Prestige Edition giveaway is only valid to those with public passes, which means that those with industry or press passes are not eligible for this one. With this in mind, you may want to start arriving at Earl’s Court on Thursday morning extremely early and make your way straight to the Call of Duty booth – we predict a mass riot and a stampede quite honestly.
This kind of offer definitely was not available at the Eurogamer Expo last year when Black Ops 2 was playable, so it really is worth making a note of in your schedule for Thursday. Just to confirm, you’ll be able to go hands-on with Ghosts multiplayer, and we’re guessing that Activision will also provide live commentary as well for the two teams slugging it out – they did the same thing last year and it was fantastic.
Do you plan to arrive at Eurogamer Expo early so you can claim a free Prestige Edition of Call of Duty Ghosts? Good luck to all those with a day one ticket.
