Call of Duty Ghosts gameplay event needs multiplayer

Call of Duty Ghosts is expected to play a big part in Microsoft’s Xbox One E3 2013 announcements, but you’ll be pleased to hear that the next gameplay reveal will take place before then. Activision has just confirmed a 30 minute broadcast, in which new footage and levels from Call of Duty Ghosts will be shown.

The game is obviously expected to be one of the biggest sellers of 2013, and Activision is sensing the opportunity to give the upcoming game a private little teaser all on its own away from the E3 spotlight. The event is going to start on June 9th, at 11 am PT / 2 pm ET and will be hosted by GameTrailers presenter Geoff Keighley, as well as Justine Ezarik.

To watch, simply tune into the official Call of Duty website, but alternatively it will also be available via other mediums, such as the Machinima Xbox app. Activision has said that there will be other ways to watch, which will be announced over the next few days.

With 30 minutes of footage to watch, what can we expect to see? We’re guessing that we’ll get another glimpse of the dog, as well as the advanced Fish AI, but maybe Infinity Ward will use the event to unveil their answer to zombies, with an all new survival based co-op mode.

We haven’t seen pure multiplayer footage yet either, so hopefully we’ll get a preview of this as well, but if not – surely multiplayer will then be saved for E3 a few days later during Microsoft’s press conference. Either way, we think it’s nice that we are now starting to see a lot more separate events around the E3 period, giving gamers much more insight into upcoming releases.

Will you be tuning into this 30 minute broadcast on June 9? Tell us what you would like to see.
