If you are a Call of Duty fan you have probably heard that when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 arrives Activision will launch a pay-per-month subscription service for the Elite, a recent article posted on Kokatu goes into much more detail about the service which is aimed towards hardcore gamers.
You can read their 2000 word article via this link, it tells us all about Call of Duty: Elite and may just convince you that paying an optional subscription isn’t such a bad idea after all. The article also features plenty of high-resolution screenshots which give us a sneak peak at what we can expect.
Rather than repeat what Kokatu say we recommend that you check out the link above for all of the juicy details, to get you a tad excited we can reveal that Elite subscribers may never have to pay for a map pack separately again, also we can confirm that Elite will connect to Black Ops sometime after the service launches.
The gist of Elite seems to be that by subscribing you will improve your skill, gain opportunities to compete for real and virtual prizes and form gaming groups. Currently we know that there will be free access to Call of Duty: Elite, however we do not know what Activision will charge for and what they give gamers for free, one thing that is for sure is that non-subscribers will still have access to campaign, co-op and multiplayer game modes.
Hopefully we will hear more about Call of Duty: Elite at E3 2011 next week, are you worried that Activision will forget about free CoD gamers and give their Elite subscribers too much?
