Call of Duty Black Ops: PS3 Regional Matchmaking is In

We have some good news for PS3 users who had read contrasting reports over the specific matchmaking features for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops game, as we can confirm that the game will still have regional matchmaking on the PS3.

We too had read the reports suggesting that this feature was left out of the PS3 version and would only be a feature on the Xbox 360 version, but last night, Treyarch’s community manager Josh Olin felt the need to clarify the matter to PS3 users who were concerned about it. Here is what he had to say when asked if PS3 regional matchmaking was missing from the game:

‘Not true. PS3 has regional matchmaking just like the 360.”

At least that clears it up for you. You can actually view Treyarch’s original stance on the matter over at the US PS Blog. Let us know your thoughts on this. Were you thinking that the feature had been removed? It would of been pretty ridiculous if it had been true, especially after what happened with the PS3 split-screen online saga.
