Call of Duty: Black Ops Price War Begins

There are two things that gamers are looking forward to this month, the first is the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops, and the second is still the possible release of Gran Turismo 5. Still, at least we know that the former is about to happen in just over one week’s time.

There are to be three versions of the Black Ops: Standard, Hardened Edition and Prestige Edition. Let us not forget “Zombies Mode” — one feature that will help the latest incarnation of the franchise shift many more units than if it were not part of the game.

So, we know that CoD: Black Ops is to be released on November 9th, and like previous version of the game, a price war has already begun. According to CVG, in the UK it was Tesco who started the price war frenzy off, but they have had to reduce its £39 price tag due to increased competition.

While looking at some game website, it looks as though the price for Call of Duty: Black Ops will now cost £30, Call Of Duty: Black Ops – Hardened Edition will cost £62.99 and Call of Duty: Black Ops – Prestige Edition will set you back £129.99. These are the latest prices, but they could change again.

What’s the cheapest price you have seen for each version of the game?
