Breast Cancer Awareness: Pink BlackBerry Smartphone Cases

Millions of us have been affected by breast cancer – even me – so is nice to see when companies do their bit in the awareness towards cancer. OtterBox is the latest company to develop pink accessories so that a percentage of the proceeds can go towards Breast Cancer Awareness.

OtterBox have now released Pink BlackBerry smartphone cases for the BlackBerry Curve 8500 series. Ten percent of the proceeds will go to the charity – Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. The money raised will go towards finding a cure for breast cancer.

The two cases that OtterBox have are from the Commuter Series Strength and will fit the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and 8530. If you have one of these RIM handsets and know that there is a chance that you could damage it, then these accessories are a must.

OtterBox said that they would pledge a minimum contribution of $50,000. The Pink BlackBerry Curve 8500 Commuter Series Strength Case costs $34.95 — meaning that they will need to sell over 1,400 of them. If you own one of these devices and were thinking of purchasing a new case, then do the right thing and choose tone of these.

More details can be found on the OtterBox website.
