Boom Beach snubs Christmas in winter update

With Clash of Clans teasing a special festive update, Boom Beach fans were hoping for the same love from developers, but the latest update seems to have shunned Christmas. Supercell updated to version 19.60 for Android on the 8th of this month and version 19.56.1 for iOS the following day, and it does not look like winter is coming.

Boom Beach Christmas 2014 update — We just cannot understand why the developer would have brought out a new update a few days ago and not give it the festive theme, especially as we have seen many other apps get into the Christmas spirit. Why do you think they have not done anything special with this latest version?

Boom Beach snubs Christmas

Let’s not try to be too disappointed because there is still a lot to be thankful for with this app update, one of which is the addition of a new troop, the Grenadier. This unit is powerfully ranged that can create a huge amount of damage, although not accurately.

With sabotage you can now use new Intel in order to destroy defensive buildings in Task Force operations. Wednesday’s Terror Statues have now been made weaker and you can now check your radar info screen because it now offers invasion details.

It’s not all about new features because improvements have been made as well, such as now having the ability to visit Task Force members’ bases to chat. There are also new NPC Power Bases, new sounds and improved graphics.

Can you see Supercell releasing another update in time for Christmas, or is this all we will get for 2014?
