BMW M3 dresses in Carbon Fibre

BMW have announced that it will be offering some new carbon fibre accessories for its M3 models. Owners of the high performance coupe, sedan or convertible will have the opportunity to purchase parts that are constructed from the ultra-rigid material.

Components such as door mirror caps and lower front splitters will be available for all models, whilst for coupe and sedan owners there will be the option of a rear boot lid spoiler. All the extra’s are made from the same composite material that is found on the roof panel of the M3 coupe.

According to BMW each component is tested in their Munich-based wind tunnels, and are designed to reduce lift and minimize drag. This in turn enhances the high-speed stability and maintains fuel efficiency. Anyway as we all know the main reason for purchasing these carbon goodies is that they just look so cool !

As of yet no prices have been released but it will be fair to say that these bits will not small change. They will however be covered by BMW’s two-year warranty and be available through all authorized dealers.
