BMW i8 gains exclusive Louis Vuitton luggage

With Louis Vuitton exclusive luggage for the BMW i8 we can see why it would be a nice touch to have matching tailor-made travel bags to complement your new BMW as the prestigious designer brings out a new carbon fibre set of luggage for all occasions. Whether you are traveling light or going on holiday these companions are ideal when it comes to having the right accessories to match your motor.

Just one look at these made me realize this is not something I want my partner seeing and even though I love the BMW i8, I am sure she would find the matching luggage even more impressive. All joking aside, Louis Vuitton creates some quality products much like BMW and we are pleased to see two big companies come together promoting both.

In an article on the BMW Group website a collection of images show this tailor-made luggage set with the most progressive sports car, the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid. The travel bag collection consists of business case, a garment bag and two travel bags ideal for any occasion, and this is also tailor-made to fit perfectly into the interior.

According to Senior Vice President BMW Group Design, Adrian van Hooydonk “both companies share a profound appreciation of tradition and a commitment to constant further development.” The elegant luggage set matches the carbon-black colours of the BMW i8 providing that familiar chequered Damier pattern as well as the hallmark and Louis Vuitton signature, while all items come with leather name tags along with the iconic Louis Vuitton padlock, although this excludes the garment bag.

The aforementioned site mentions that this Louis Vuitton luggage series is available upon request in select stores around the world and these will be accessible from the 1st April, 2014. We have not been treated to the actual asking price yet and this is bound to make all the difference, but regardless of whether you own a BMW i8 or not, this new luggage does look rather elegant.
