If you own a BMW or Mini car and an Apple iPhone 4, then we may just have some exciting news for you. The German car, motorcycle and engine manufacturer has recently released two new apps for iOS — the first being Mini Connected and the second being BMW Connected.
According to a recent article by Mike Schramm over at tuaw.com, the Mini Connected iPhone app not only allows users to access web radio and audio versions of Internet feeds, but also enables them to track information about their vehicle.
The app comes in handy for those who own cars equipped with navigation features as well, as it allows them to send directions and searches back and forth from their iPhone to the car’s systems. According to the itunes.apple.com link here, the Mini Connected app requires iOS 4.2 or later.
If you’re a fan of the popular micro-blogging website Twitter, the Mini Connected app even allows you to keep updated with all the latest tweets from your vehicle. The BMW Connected app has all the same features as the previous app, but works across BMW’s vehicle line-up.
