BMW China Announce BMW 5 series GT Recall

BMW China has recently revealed that they will soon be recalling some imported models, the affected vehicles are BMW 5 series GT cars manufactured earlier this year.

There is said to be a problem with the car’s fuel tank, this problem can causes stalling, which could potentially cause a hazard if it was to happen in the wrong place (for example a railway crossing).

Currently there are no reports of this problem causing casualties, however it seems as if BMW want to nip the problem in the bud before a major accident occurs.

The recall will begin Friday, if you live in China and own a BMW 5 series GT manufactured between January 12 and June 30 (2010) you should contact your local dealer.
