We have some rather exciting news now for all you BlazBlue: Continuum Shift fans out there, as we’ve just received word that both a new patch and DLC is on its way for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game and should be arriving sometime this May.
According to a recent article by JC Fletcher over at joystiq.com, the upcoming patch (version 1.03) is intended to update the game balance in order for it to be in line with the arcade release of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2. The patch also contains a number of big fixes and improvements.
The 1.03 patch is also said to have fixed an issue where Valkenhayn’s achievements could not be obtained in the Xbox 360 version of the game. Other features found within the new patch include new tutorials and brand new Challenge Mode content for all of the characters.
Besides the upcoming patch, which also adds simplified chat messages for Player Match rooms, players also have a new DLC character Platinum the Trinity to look forward to in May. The addition of a new character of course means that there will also be new trophies/achievements to unlock.
While the 1.03 patch will be free to download, the DLC character will set you back $7.99 on PS3 or 560 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360. Are you a fan of the BlazBlue: Continuum Shift game?
