BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera update resolves issues

When the BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera first shipped it had a couple of issues, which was affecting overall positive review results. However, these issues have been resolved and now the camera is all the better for it. The two problems were the white orb and back spot, which took two separate fixes.

Blunty has released a follow-up video following his findings of those two issues, and now he discusses what changes were made and their overall results. The BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera white orb problem required a re-calibration, while the BMPCC black dot issue was fixed with a firmware update.

You will see a before and after in the video below, which shows just how much better the video quality is, and as such makes this camera an even better purchase.

The BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera has a fantastic range and a good number of pro level features, which is rather impressive when you consider its size and price. One review already said this was an awesome shooter, but now with the update this has become an even more complete package.

To make the camera even better is a bunch of BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera accessories, which we recently looked at. However, we know some of you have had issues with crop factor and lenses, but we helped resolve some of these concerns for you last week.
