BlackBerry Q10 US release date on T-Mobile set

We have some great news for those of you who have waited patiently for the US release date of the highly anticipated BlackBerry Q10. The QWERTY-keyboard based device has now been given an official launch date on T-Mobile, with the US carrier confirming that consumers will finally be able to purchase during the first week of June.

If you have been keeping your eyes on BlackBerry 10 device movement, you will have probably read a lot about the BlackBerry R10, which is thought to be a more budget version of the Q10 with similar hardware specs at a cheaper price. While we wait for official information regarding this device, we’re pleased to say that BlackBerry has now confirmed a June 5 launch date for the Q10 on T-Mobile.

Previously, the Q10 was only available to business customers, but June 5 will be the official release date for everyone else. For a brief reminder of specs, the device will include a QWERTY-keyboard as mentioned above, a dual-core 1.5Ghz Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera and 16GB of internal memory which is expandable with MicroSD card.

The 3.1-inch based AMOLED device will also come with T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network support as well, allowing for super fast connection speed and ideal for consumers with business usage in mind. A June 5 launch now means that you’ll be able to head into your nearest T-Mobile store next Wednesday morning and finally walk away with a brand new BlackBerry Q10 in hand.

The Z10 may have won a lot of consumers over with its touchscreen based input, but others just can’t live without a physical QWERTY keyboard after staying on BlackBerry for many years. Let us know if you have resisted temptation from the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and will be picking up a Q10 on launch day next week.
