BlackBerry PlayBook UK price and availability

We recently told you that RIM was recalling a number of its BlackBerry PlayBooks’ that were shipped to Staples in the US. The tablet hasn’t exactly set the world on fire regarding sales, but today we have the BlackBerry PlayBook UK price and availability.

The device has been listed by the Carphone Warehouse with prices starting at £399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model, according to an article by Ben Sillis on Electric Pig. If you want more storage the 32GB will cost you £479 or £559 for 64GB. These prices compare to what Apple charge for the iPad 2. Retailer Phones4u are also socking the tablet from RIM.

Part of the same group Best Buy UK has also put up a register your interest page for the device. Curry’s and PC World are thought to be offering the tablet for the same price. The BlackBerry PlayBook is set to be available from June 16.

The 7-inch tablet PC has full Flash web browsing, and offers good multi-tasking. Some have said the tablet would be better suited to the business user instead of personal users. Will you be preordering the BlackBerry PlayBook?
