The recently released Blackberry Playbook has been given a demo video to boast some of its features that aim to compete with Apple’s iPad 2, in the video we get to see a brief glimpse of the Facebook app, we are sure that this will be one of the most downloaded apps for this tablet.
We have embedded the demo video at the end of this post, roughly 3 minutes in you get to see the Facebook for PlayBook application. The name of the application suggests that it has been developed and optimized to run seamlessly on the BlackBerry PlayBook, the brief demo shows that it seems to be very snappy and intuitive indeed.
There is nothing truly unique about the Facebook for PlayBook app, there is no sign of Facebook places, however the video does tell us that the app has been built using Flash technology, the video briefly shows us the news feed, notifications, how you can update your status and how you can tag people in photos. At 3mins and 14 seconds you see a screen which also shows that you appear to have access to your Facebook messages and Facebook chat.
Have you got your hands on the BlackBerry PlayBook? If so, is the Facebook app as good as it looks?
