BlackBerry PlayBook 2: New details confirm 2011 release

The BlackBerry PlayBook 4G is one of the most anticipated tablets and is yet to be released, however talks and details have already began to emerge for its successor, the PlayBook 2. This may not be a surprise to hear this kind of news to some of you as with the way technology advances this happens with other devices.

We previously brought you news of the PlayBook 4G release date hints and have also provided you with news of the iPhone 6 despite the iPhone 5 still not having a release date. The news about the PlayBook 2 we have is of a possible release by the end of the year.

Since the rumors of a 10” model appearing first surfaced nothing had been heard until now. Sources have confirmed the rumors and more details have surfaced. According to the article at N4BB the new version will have a greater resolution, as well as be thinner and come in white and black models.

It is thought that the launch of the new device will come with RIM’s QNX update which will possibly bring BlackBerry apps, calendar and e-mail features.
