BlackBerry OS 7.0 Release Date Hints in RIM’s Roadmap

RIM may have inadvertently leaked details regarding BlackBerry OS 7.0 which is hinted to be coming towards the end of November 2011. RIM’s roadmap for blackberry says that in November we will see “BB7 SN Core Integration (OS 7.0)”.

The hints do not clarify whether this will be an update which can be installed on previous BlackBerry smartphones or just be available to new devices, however BlackBerry fans will just be excited to hear that a new OS is coming, we wonder if it will be more suited to touchscreen devices.

We do not know too many details specifically about the new OS for Blackberry, however if you check our RIM’s roadmap you will see that a lot is planned for 2011, it looks like the BlackBerry Playbook will have its own App World also we see a few mentions of Facebook, BlackBerry Protect and Twitter, which problems means that improved apps are incoming.

Overall, the future looks good for BlackBerry owners and improvements should be seen quite rapidly by the end of the year. Are you pleased about a new operating system or are you not too concerned with the current one? Give us your views.
