One of the most talked about BlackBerry devices that we have known to be coming sooner rather than later is none other than the BlackBerry Bold 9900. If you are intrigued by this device, then Crackberry have had an exclusive look at what this device can do, and we’re sure you will be impressed.
BlackBerry enthusiasts who love the iconic style of the BlackBerry 9000 series will have no qualms when they see the BlackBerry 9900. As you can see in the video that we have embedded below, the handset looks incredibly thin. It is so thin infact, that it is officially the thinnest BlackBerry RIM has released to date at just 10.5mm.
But the real defining feature of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is the inclusion of NFC, or Near Field Communication. By watching the video, you will never guess where the NFC antenna is located. Now, we wanted to keep it a surprise until you watched the video too, so if you watch the video then come back, we can talk more about the pros and cons.
Watched the video? Good. So the NFC antenna is located on the lightweight, modern, glass-fibre type backdoor on the Bold 9900. Now even though this seems like a good idea, far too many people tend to lose the backdoor of their mobile phones which could mean that to use NFC, they would have to purchase another just to make their contactless payments.
As far as the phone as a whole goes, this phone seems impressive and sticks to the BlackBerry design that many (67 milllion of you) know and love. The brushed stainless steel frame around the edges of the handset take us back to the original style of the Bold, but without all that bulky none-needed extra stuff inside it. All we have been left with, is a toned down, slim, and re-born phone that could be one to look out for.
Of course, if you want to know the specs then check out the video and then tell us what you think of the BlackBerry Bold 9900.
