Last year Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 broke sales records, now we are hearing that Black Ops has outdone MW2’s impressive day-one sales figures.
Exact figures are not clear, however Activision‘s “internal estimates” suggest that 5.6 million copies were shifted by Novemember 9th (taking into account pre-orders), last year in the same time-frame 4.7 million copies of MW2 were shifted upon the game’s release date.
At the moment exact figures have not been revealed, however I am sure that Activision’s estimates are not too far away, I would love to see how many of these 5.6 million people are entirely happy with Black Ops.
I’m sure that this trend will continue each year, despite Black Ops not being perfect it is still a great game and should keep me busy, however I can’t help but look forward to see what the next game in the series does to better it.
Will you buy the next fame in the franchise? Or has Black Ops put you off?
