Black Ops 3 is free to download right now on PS Plus

Sony has given PlayStation owners an extra special treat during E3 now, by revealing that Black Ops 3 is now completely free to download for those with an active PS Plus subscription.

This was definitely not pre-planned and we can see that gamers are really happy about it on social media. There’s no catch to this either, simply log on to the PS Plus section of the PlayStation Store and you’ll see Black Ops 3 available to download for free, along with XCOM2 and Trials Fusion.

The only thing you need to know is that you must claim the free download before July 11, but even then it’s a fantastic gesture from Sony since you have a full month to make use of this offer.

The big attraction for making Black Ops 3 available to everyone, is the new pre-order incentive announced for Black Ops 4. If you pre-order the game, you’ll get access to the new Back in Black map pack which includes remastered versions of Summit, Jungle, Slums and Firing Range.

You can see a trailer showing gameplay from the new Black Ops 3 maps below. Consider this one final treat before Black Ops 4 arrives on October 12.

Are you pleasantly shocked that Black Ops 3 is now completely free to download? Give us your reaction as a PS Plus subscriber below.
