Black Ops 2 with eSports to reignite love

The wait is finally over, as Treyarch has now dropped the world premiere trailer for their multiplayer mode that will be featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. As expected, there is plenty of action to be seen, but there is also one hidden feature that has been teased at the end of the trailer.

As most of you are aware, Black Ops 2 will now be set in the future and the trailer gives us an idea of how multiplayer will pan out with access to all sorts of futuristic weaponry and gadgets. As expected, you’ll have the ability to fly quadrotor drones and A.G.R drones – opening up all sorts of new gameplay tactics as multiple members try to work together to take down the heavy artillery.

Golden weapons, upgraded Tomahawks and even sniper rifles with iron sights can be seen if you really pay attention to the trailer, but the most exciting aspect for some of you is going to be the unveiling of what appears to be an spectator mode for eSports.

eSports if you didn’t know is the professional league for video games and it has been home for hardcore shooters such as Counter-Strike for years. Treyarch has hinted about taking Black Ops 2 into eSports in the past and now it appears to be a reality. It means if you’re good enough, some of you will even be able to make a living off of Black Ops 2 as you enter tournaments for cash all over the world.

If not, you’ll still be able to sit back in-game and enjoy eSports league matches with the built-in spectator mode which appears to include commentary from a familiar face from various COD Elite videos. If the gameplay wasn’t impressive enough, the inclusion of an eSports mode might just force you to fall in love with Call of Duty again.

Check out all of the juicy footage below, including the eSports teaser at the end and let us know what you think of it.
