Black Ops 2 Double XP before PS3 Vengeance DLC

We’re sure PS3 and PC owners are getting very excited about the upcoming release of the Vengeance DLC map pack, which will finally give you access to the new Buried zombies experience. In the meantime though, we can confirm that another of Treyarch’s Double XP weekends is going live, allowing all platform versions of the game to accumulate experience at twice the speed.

We’re guessing that the timing of this latest Double XP event is to coincide with the release of new Personalization Packs that are now available to buy on the Xbox 360 version of the game. It’s good to see that Double XP will still apply though, on PS3, Wii U and PC versions of the game.

If you are planning to take advantage of this wonderful occasion, you’ll want to know that Double XP playlists will officially kick off this Friday, on July 26 at 10am Pacific Time. You’ll be able to rack up double points all the way up until Monday, July 29 with the same ending time of 10am PT.

It could also mean that players are in for another exciting time, if the Nuketown 24/7 playlist is back in town. Considering it usually shows up with each Double XP event, we would presume it will also be coming back this Friday as well. Black Ops 2 has its critics, but Nuketown 2025 24/7 can offer some serious fun, so let us know if you will be returning to the game – just to play this map endlessly.

Once Double XP is over, PS3 and PC players can then look forward to Vengeance being available on Steam and the PS Store on August 1. Four new multiplayer maps and a new zombie map to enjoy – you’re going to be busy on Black Ops 2 for quite some time.
