Black Ops 2 DLC 3, 4 release date rumors on Xbox 360

If you are a Black Ops 2 season pass owner on the Xbox 360, you are probably already looking forward to the future releases of Black Ops 2 DLC Map Packs 3 and 4. The good news is that it looks like you won’t have long to wait after Uprising, with evidence suggesting that the next DLC pack is due out in July.

Uprising has only just released for PS3 and PC gamers, finally giving fans on these platforms the chance to sample the new Mob of the Dead zombies map, not to mention four new multiplayer maps as well in the form of Encore, Studio, Magma and Vertigo. Xbox 360 users have already had this content for over a month, so they will be wondering when the next content is coming.

With this in mind, rumors have suggested that Black Ops 2 DLC 3 and 4 will be out in July and August respectively. A youtube video here references source code within the Call of Duty Elite website, which apparently reveals a July 2 release date for DLC 3 and an August 27 release date for a fourth Black Ops 2 DLC map pack.

It goes without saying that these are very thin rumors at this moment, but it does deserve keeping an eye on. Those dates also fall on the traditional day that Activision release their Call of Duty map packs, so we’ll have to wait and see. At the moment, Activision has released no information whatsoever, on what the potential name for the next DLC pack will be.

When it finally does arrive, we can expect to see another new zombies map for Black Ops 2 and another four new multiplayer maps. It would be nice if Treyarch add another DLC weapon though, like the Peacekeeper SMG that was offered with Revolution. We’ll update you when we hear more, but let us your thoughts on a potential two more packs for Black Ops 2.
