Black Ops 2 Die Rise Zombies with Turned gameplay

Activision has finally announced Revolution, the first DLC content pack for Black Ops 2. We had been hearing all sorts of speculation on the new zombies map Die Rise and thankfully, we can now bring you the official details on the map which will now be set in the Far East, not Breslau Germany as previously speculated. Treyarch are taking Call of Duty DLC one step further by not only introducing a DLC exclusive weapon, but also a brand new DLC game mode for zombies as well called Turned.

That means that Revolution is basically a must buy for all zombie lovers. This is because Treyarch has finally answered one of the biggest requests that has been in place ever since the spin-off started. Turned is going to be a new mode with Revolution and it will allow you to actually play as the zombies, with your mission being to take down a sole human in the game.

It sounds like great fun and a further twist is that once you do take down the human, you’ll actually then become the only human on the map with the rest of the zombies now hunting you instead. Treyarch has provided some initial gameplay of Turned in action, as part of the main Revolution teaser and we have included that below for you to watch – the action will start at 2.50 into the video.

The good thing to note here is that it looks like Turned will be playable on all zombie maps and not just exclusive to Die Rise. We see some Turned gameplay on Green Run in the particular clip below, but Treyarch hasn’t been specific on what other features will be available in the mode other than gaining points for taking down humans. Hopefully there’s a lot more to the mode than just chasing down the humans – we’d like to see some unique unlockables and one good suggestion could be to unlock a special weapon in regular zombies, but only after completing a certain achievement in Turned mode.

As you probably already know, Revolution is going to be out on January 29 and will be available for Xbox 360 players first, either via a separate purchase or as a free download with the Season Pass. Let us know if you are now willing to pick up Revolution, specifically due to the addition of this brand new zombies mode.

Have you been waiting a long time to play as the zombies vs humans? Now is your chance. We’ll bring you more details and gameplay as we get it.
