Bit.Trip Saga: Retail version announced for Nintendo Wii

Back in April we announced that the entire series of Bit.Trip rhythm games would at some stage be coming to the Nintendo 3DS handheld as one complete collection known as the Bit.Trip Saga. Now we have just heard that a retail version has recently been announced for the Nintendo Wii.

According to Mike Rose over at gamasutra.com, developer Gaijin Games has just revealed that there will indeed be a retail version of its popular and well-received WiiWare series for the Nintendo Wii. What’s more is that the Wii version will contain extras that are not found in the 3DS and WiiWare versions.

Gaijin Games said that the Aksys Games-published Nintendo Wii retail version will not only come with the six original Bit.Trip titles, but it will also contain commentary from the games’ creator Alex Neuse for each title and special art and sound galleries.

The Wii version will also feature new difficulty levels, as well as a set of 120 brand new challenge levels — 20 levels for each of the six Bit.Trip games. Although we don’t have an exact release date as of yet, we do know that both the Nintendo Wii and 3DS versions are due to arrive simultaneously later this year.
