Best Apple Watch cases highlight protection importance

With the Apple Watch now up for pre-order, it also means there is an abundance of cases and covers ready for pre-orders as well. However, finding the best ones is a tough task, as so many accessory makers will want a piece of the action, and we know some of them will not be up to the job.

Before we look at what we believe to be the best Apple Watch cases and covers at this time, we wanted to touch on the subject of the importance of protection.

We know there will be many of you out there that believe putting a cover on Apple’s latest creation is silly, as it adds unnecessary bulk. Some people will see the device as a piece of jewelry and so adding an ugly cover defeats the object. However, you have to look at this like a smartphone and so some professions will call for added protection.

Best Apple Watch covers

Sitting in the office all day will require no such protection, but for contractors/outdoor workers, and people that have rougher jobs, then these cases will be essential — but only if they still wish to wear their Apple Watch while working.

First up we have the Spigen hard case, which is made from polycarbonate and comes in various color options for the 38mm and 42mm Apple Watch. The price is just $14.99 and can be pre-ordered now.

The Rugged Armor case is ideal for those looking for a little more protection, although still only costs $14.99, although there is a more robust version, the Tough Armor case for $24.99.

If you are looking for something a little different, then The Bumper might be just what you are looking for. Seeing as though this is a crowdfunding project, its release date has yet to be finalized, although the company hopes to start shipping at the end of May.

Last but not least we have the Apple Watch Luvvitt Clarity TPU case, which offers a tempered glass screen protector for just $14.99 and will be shipped ready for April 26.

These are some of the best cases and covers we have seen so far, but if you have come across any more, then please do share them with our readers below.
