If you cannot wait for Apple to reveal its official AirPods release date, then do not fear, as there are plenty of alternatives out there, you just have to figure out if it’s the design you like, and also more importantly for some of you, your budget because we know the price of them can be very expensive.
We already know that Jabra plans to release the Elite Sport, although not until later this month, which is ok if you are planning to purchase Apple AirPods alternatives as a Christmas gift. However, if you cannot wait and need a set now, then there several options for you right now.
If price is not an issue, then you might want to consider the Erato Apollo 7 wireless earbud. Ok, so these are a bit on the expensive side at $299, when you consider the AirPods cost just $159 and you get a decent battery life and easy pairing. However, the Apollo 7 offers superb audio and mic quality, although based on some reviews, pairing can be a bit hit and miss.
Skybuds are another option for you, although their 4 hour battery life might be a bit short from some of you. Having said that, there is a charging case that offers an extra 24 hours of music playback. We’re not too certain on audio quality just yet because the reviews are not yet in. However, its $249 price tag and funky design make it two very good reasons to choose these truly wirelesss earbuds.
If you are looking for a set of earbuds with a funky, yet small design, then the Rowkin Bit Charge could be the ideal choice. For one, the price is $129 for the pair, or $69 for one, and although you only get 3 hours of use on a single charge, the charging case offers a further 15 extra charges while out and about.
Another set that we just had to mention because of their strange design are the Sol Republic Amps Air, as they look like a small pair of boots, or golf clubs. These will set you back $179 and while they are bulkier than the AirPods, they are certainly a great alternative.
There you have it, four different options for you, but if you have any other models you might like to mention, then please do put them in the comments section below.
