This is the first day of the Beijing Motor Show 2010 and Ford has already shown of its new concept — The Ford Start Concept. However, they also wish to show off its EcoBoost engine technology and how they will implement it across its upcoming Mondeo range.
Mondeo’s with this powerplant will be the ones sold in Europe and China. The Ford Mondeo EcoBoost will come with a 2.0-litre engine, turbocharging and direct injection. The results will be a smooth and powerful response.
This new engine will be available to the world by the end of the year and will then come with 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre variants. Ford introduced this system to its 3.5-litre V6 engines in 2009 and offers superb fuel economy figures, 10 percent more than the standard engine.
As you can imagine all automakers are looking at ways to improve fuel —efficiency — even Ferrari. This way of thinking is seen the future of car development. For more details visit Car Advice
