BeBook Live Android Tablet: Specs, Price and Release

Everyone seems to be joining the tablet PC market these days, what with the recent announcements of the Toshiba ANT and the Sony S1 and S2 Honeycomb tablets. Now it appears that BeBook has decided to jump in on the action, by announcing its BeBook Live Android tablet.

According to Brian Heater over at, the BeBook Live tablet runs on the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, is powered by a 1GHz processor and comes with a 7-inch color multi-touch display with a resolution of 800 x 600, 4GB built-in memory and Flash Support.

It also features a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a HDMI out. As noted on the specs page over on the website, the BeBook Live tablet comes with a number of apps pre-installed, including Tank Hero, Ebuddy, Aldiko, Rockplayer, ES Taskmanager and ES Explorer.

Other features include both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, USB 2.0, expandable memory via microSD card (up to 32GB), music player, video calling and a 3.5mm audio jack. The BeBook Live tablet will be available to purchase sometime in June for $279.
