Battlefield 4: Showdown on Xbox One signals EA partnerships

EA announced the Battlefield 4: Showdown yesterday, which is a BF4 tournament that will take place in London, UK on November 1, 2013. The event will see a team of 32 European players pitted against US counterparts. However, before you get too excited, we have to tell you this will be a battle on the Xbox One.

This is not a bad thing because the developer has to pick a platform, and it so happens to be the Xbox One, and it comes as no secret that some gamers have been saying this signals an EA partnership. Let us hope there are no connection issues with BF4 beta like there were a few days ago?

You can see some of the comments on MP1st vary between support for the choice of platform to anger. However, we have to remember that Sony has done the same with several games in the past, which was highlighted by an N4G reader. Do you believe people are making a big deal out of nothing?

Going back to the Battlefield 4: Showdown tournament; only top-tier Battlefield players will be selected. However, if you have no chance of playing in this all-out contest, then there is still a chance for you to get close to the action if you live in the US.

You can enter the ”Play and Win” sweepstakes by downloading Battlefield 4 Gamer Pic and then take advantage of this weekend’s Battlefield 4 beta on Xbox Live, where you could win two tickets to the event in London.

That’s not all; you could also sit with team USA along with a $500 gift card. More details can be found on the Battlefield Blog.
