Battlefield 4 set release date for new DLC

Electronic Arts has set the release date for a new Battlefield 4 DLC, titled Second Assault. The new content will be available to download for Battlefield premium members on February 18th and there has also been news on when the Naval Strike content pack will also launch.

Second Assault was originally launched as a timed exclusive for the Xbox One back in November and will now be available for Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC. DICE has planned 5 DLC packs for release, with this being the second. In late March EA confirmed that Naval Strike, the third content pack would be released, followed by Dragon’s Teeth and Final Stand in the coming months.

Players who download Second Assault will have access to 4 news maps, designed specifically to function on Battlefield 4’s new game engine and gameplay modes. CVG reports that these content packs were planned to be released earlier but had been held back as DICE needed to first fix a swarm of bugs which had been plaguing Battlefield 4 since launch. It was only a week ago the servers were down.

Development has already reportedly started on 2014’s Battlefield game, however it will supposedly not be created by DICE. Instead this task has been given to Visceral who have been rumored to be being a police theme to this year’s title, code-named Havana.

Will you be downloading Second Assault and all of the future DLC packs for Battlefield 4?
