Battlefield 4 rubber-banding fix promised, no timescale

Ever since the release of Battlefield 4 players have suffered from something called rubber-banding, which sees their characters transported to different areas of a multiplayer map, due to an issue with servers. It would seem that servers are unable to cope with the keeping a connection with 64-player matches.

Many of you have experienced this from time-to-time, and so it is good to learn that DICE has promised to get to work on a Battlefield 4 rubber-banding fix, which will not be with a patch.

DICE has said that this is a hardware issue and plan to take measures in order to make performance improvements to servers. While they say they will update servers as soon as they can, they have not given a timescale as to when this BF4 rubber-banding issue will finally be rectified.

Not all Battlefield 4 players have suffered lag issues, but for those who have, this news is very welcome. Saying that, it is all very well DICE stating that they are unhappy that some players are experiencing this issue, but why were they not on the case four months ago?

BF4 players have taken to the Battlefield Blog to air their views and while many of them are happy that DICE is finally working to resolve rubber-banding, it is clear most are unhappy.

One of the funniest comments that appears on the Blog was from a user called Third-Rail720, where he said, “It got so bad at one point, I shot myself in the back 3 times.” Now tell me that never made your day?
