Battlefield 4 PS4 vs. PC gameplay footage

If you are considering a move to next-gen then one title that needs to be on your list is Battlefield 4. Okay, so we know some of you would rather Call of Duty and that is fine, but it is clear development of BF4 is moving along very nicely and judging from the various gameplay videos we have seen, it is going to be a close battle between the PS4 version of the game and the Xbox One. However, because most XBox One gameplay footage has been removed we thought we would ad a PC comparison instead.

It is for this reason why we wanted to show you videos of Battlefield 4 PS4 and PC gameplay footage in the hope that it will show you just how different the game looks on each platform. The again, we already know some of you will still be saying these next-gen consoles will not be able to compete with BF4 on the PC, which we know you can tweak settings to get the most from the game.

The first video is three Battlefield 4 PS4 gameplay videos in one and while it is not the best in terms of quality, it does give you 10 minutes of gameplay, but we would have liked to see something with better quality. However, all of these type of videos are the same, which is no surprise considering the developers and publishers have been a little mean when it comes to offering official gameplay footage.

Having said that, we have found some better footage, which is some Battlefield 4 PC multiplayer gameplay footage, although the video would have us believe it is Xbox One footage, which is all in 1080p. This video gives you a good idea of the destructible environments, as well as the new weapons that will be available to you.

While it is hard to give you a true side-by-side comparison of BF4 on the PS4 and the PC, you do get a little taster of what is to come. Although, the jump in terms of performance compared to current-gen is not as much as we would have liked, although it is going to take time for developers to get the most from their engines and the new consoles.

To get your gaming juices going we now have the Battlefield 4 maps list and multiplayer launch guide.

Update: Sorry for that, I have now edited this to compare the PS4 version to the PC.

The “Xbox One” video is actually the PC build. That’s already been confirmed by DICE. Xbox One gameplay has only been shown at Eurogamer and people were pretty underwhelmed compared to the PS4 version.

The Xbox One version is from a dev kit this was taken before Microsoft started to optimize. It other video out there that have a side by side comparison

The PC version looks better.
The second screen is called the Xbox One version, but it was running on PC, you won’t have that in the final version of the Xbox One.

1. PS4 vid is cam view while Xbone is Live Feed (live feed being better quality)
2. Xbone is Single player while PS4 is multiplayer (mulitplayer always has the inferior graphics)
3. Where’s the PC game

Just got done reading several of your posted articles. Details and accuracy are not your strong point.
You are woefully uneducated on the subjects you choose.

ok couple of things.

ps4 game-play is multi-player game-play which is running on alpha code & xbox1 game-play is single player game-play which is polished.you should not compare both.

secondly which i fear is true that Microsoft & EA signed a big deals for xbox1 because of that EA is not using PS4 full capabilities.if they use full PS4 hardware capabilities then xbox1 will lack in the competition.

This is same from EA ….everyone is saying PS4 is strong & you will see that when Naughty dog, quantic dream & other sony owned studios release thier games.

You are flat out wrong

Urgh, BF4 on Xbone looks like total dog****. Not surprising with its underpowered hardware. Xbone will be totally obsolete in a year.

the gameplay you listed as PS4 is actually X1 gameplay, and the X1 gameplay is running on a high-end PC
