Battlefield 4 PC pre-load release time with Origin fears

If you are planning to pick up the PC version of Battlefield 4, which many gamers are, we have some important information for you to look forward to. EA has confirmed that a pre-load will be available, allowing you to load the game’s main files and play the minute the servers go live on October 29.

As many PC owners will be well aware though, having a pre-load service available usually means that EA’s servers become very busy and gamers run into problems. We saw it happen with the Battlefield 4 beta, so hopefully EA will be aware of that and will be making preparations for the BF4 pre-load to go as smooth as possible.

We don’t have an exact time for when the game will go live on PC, but it’s a good idea to start pre-loading the minute these files become available. A Tweet by the Origin team confirms that this will be available on October 28, 24 hours before the game is out.

Expect a big download as well, as Battlefield 4 is going to be the best experience possible on PC. We bet some of you can’t wait to test out the graphical capabilities of the game in 1080p and 60FPS, with many of you being able to handle this benchmark without breaking a sweat – a far cry from the ongoing worries regarding next-gen resolutions.

Have you picked up a retail copy on pre-order, or are you saying your prayers early in hope of picking up an online copy and hope that the download goes smoothly? Let us know if you have run into problems before during an EA pre-load.
