There are only a handful of games that require a store to open at midnight because the demand for certain titles are so great, and so some retailers will feel the need to open early in order to fulfill an insatiable need.
Last year saw select stores open for titles such as Black Ops 2, and this year will see the same stores open early for the release of Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts, which we will get to at a later date.
For now we will take a look at the Battlefield 4 midnight launch locations for Game stores. We’re told that a huge number of Game stores will open at midnight or early morning, and you can see the list for yourself here.
The Battlefield 4 midnight release will take place on November 1, 2013, the moment the clock hits 0:00am. We are not certain what other stores in the UK will open at midnight, although we assume that many 24-hour Tesco and Asda stores will also have BF4 games on shelves early.
It is hard to believe that it has been almost two years since Battlefield 3 was released, and from what we have seen from some of the gameplay footage, it has been well worth the wait — even if it has gone quickly for some of us.
We do hope the staff at Game get some sleep a few days before, as they would have had to open early the day before as well for the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag midnight launch.
