Battlefield 4 live PC update brings big fixes

DICE has released their Battlefield 4 live PC update which brings a number of big bug fixes and tweaks. The full patch notes have been listed on the Battlefield Blog, with a majority of the most common crashes and issues being dealt with along with stability improvements.

This huge update fixes different categories across the whole game, including Spectator Mode, Grenade Tweaks, Pistol Tweaks, Weapon Tweaks and Vehicle Tweaks. We will run through some of the most common patches from the update from each of the different fix zones.

In the general update the maximum rank level has been increased to 120 and an issue has been fixed which causes rubber banding on some servers when data is being re-sent. Additionally a recurring fault has been rectified which caused blood effects, damage indicators, and health bar updates in the HUD to be out of sync.

In Spectator Mode a chat feature has been added which allows viewers to participate in the discussion of the game they are watching, the black screen which was visible when switching between screens has now been removed. In terms of Grenade tweaks, players can now carry an extra M84 flashbang or hand flare, increasing the capacity from 2 to 3.

In pistol tweaks the M1911, QSZ-92, FN57, CZ-75 and Compact 45 have all had their close range damage increased, a small prone error has also been corrected on the Compact 45. Weapon tweaks brings an update to MTAR which has seen its long range accuracy been reduced to the same level of the other carbines. Mobile Anti-Aircraft vehicles can now only carry 4 missiles instead of 6, reduced by the Vehicle tweaks update.
