If you are a Battlefield 4 premium member, it is the perfect time to jump into Battlefield 4 at the moment. The China Rising DLC expansion is now live, adding four new maps and much more for gamers to get stuck into. For those who haven’t had the chance to play the content yet – we have a live stream to keep you busy.
PS4, PS3 and PC users were disappointed to find out that the Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC content was timed-exclusive content for the Xbox One. Now though, China Rising is available to everyone with a premium account, offering four new maps to play on.
As we revealed here, these are Dragon Pass, Silk Road, Guilin Peaks and Altai Range. Each map is very different and also opens the game up to the new Air Superiority mode from Battlefield 4 – ie, aircraft only. You’ll be able to get a taster of how this mode looks on the Dragon Pass map in the video below, it’s absolute carnage.
We have to say that Guilin Peaks looks very interesting, almost reminding us a little bit of some of the environments featured in the Avatar movie. Close quarter combat, but with various cave openings and lovely foliage to work through.
Silk Road is going to become a big favorite we feel – your classic desert warfare fix and arguably the map that looks the best out of the four in terms of graphics.
