Having already asked what your BF3 wishlist was for weapons, ranks and more, we then looked at how there needs to be a class balance, as some players will be able to choose much better weapons to search and destroy their target. Now keeping with that same theme we have found two awesome videos that look into Battlefield 3 weapon customization.
The first video looks at how you can customize your weapons. On the menu you will have four choices in front of you for your kit, assault, engineer, support and recon. There is also another selection, land, which shows what vehicles etc you have. Now lets get on to customizing for assault, which starts of with the MP-7. Below the name of the weapon you will see customize, now the weapon has been customized you will then get to see how it is in action on the field. The first thing we noticed was how the recoil is not that much, but there are other weapons where the recoil looks amazing.
After running for a while you are then taken to the customize section again, where he then selects an M16 along with an M9 pistol. We love how we are getting to see all these weapons in action, if you have not seen the M1 in action on Battlefield 3 then be prepared to be amazed. The recoil is very heavy, so this might not be the most accurate weapon to go for. We just hope that EA have factored in how your arms will grow tired from using such a gun?
From what we have seen there is not much going on with customizing each weapon, but we do get a good idea how to customize your kit. However, choosing what main gun, handgun and type of grenades you want all comes under weapon customization. What we love about BF3 compared to Modern Warfare 3 is how an engineer gets to use different tools. If you have not seen a cutting torch in action on EA’s new game, then the second video below will put you out of your misery.
We get to see how you can fully customize a weapon in support mode. The default weapon is an RPK; you will now see a selection of different features, such as PK-AS Holo, Foregrip and Target Pointer. These can be changed, depending on what you get used to, or what environment you are in.
We do not get to see all the custom option on these weapons, but we did notice the Flash Suppressor. You will need to figure out how to use this, as the guy in the video had no clue.
