Battlefield 3 release date confirmed, sooner than expected

We have some great news for any of you who have been looking forward to the Battlefield 3 release date announcement, Electonic Arts’ Executive Producer, Patrick Bach, has reveal the date it will arrive recentlty at E3 2011.

Before today we knew that a Q4 2011 release date was expected, however we must admit we expect it to arrive in the latter parts of Q4, well we can now confirm that it will arrive on October 25, 2011.

During the press conference EA suggested that the Frosbite 2 game engine allowed their most far-fetched ideas to become a reality which has made Battlefield 3 the game they have always wanted to make, they also seem to suggests that they believe that this game will take first-person shooters to a whole new level, this is thanks a team of developers who have been working together since 2005.

The late October release date means that it will be available before its biggest competitor arrives, we wonder if people will buy Battlefield 3 upon release and never look back, I must admit I am a bit of a Call of Duty fanboy, but I think I will be buying EA’s offering to see if it lives up to all of the hype.

There are still plenty of Battlefield 3 details being revealed at E3 2011, therefore keep checking Product-Reviews for all of the latest information. I will be writing about some of the event’s biggest announcement over the next few days so you may want to follow me on Twitter (here).
