Battlefield 3 hacks live? Are cheats getting their wicked way?

Battlefield 3 has only been out for a day or so, however EA DICE devs have had no time for rest bite, earlier today scheduled maintenance took place to resolve EA online connection issues, now we think we have spotted some footage of a BF3 hack which cheats will undoubtedly take full advantage.

There is quite a lot of mystery surrounding the video, we have embedded it at the end of the post so you can make your mind up to decide whether it is legitimate. The video clearly shows a player not shooting anyone but constantly getting 100 points for killing enemies – as you can imagine this soon ranks the player up, which obviously means cheats get access to the best guns and attachments very early on.

We have watched the video a few times and it looks like the exploit is running on the PC version of the game, if you check out this recent BotchWeed article you will see that there is also talk of an aimbot, however we don’t have any solid evidence of this as yet.

For now we would love some feedback from you if you are aware of any hacks / exploits which cheats are using, perhaps you have spectated a player who has used the instant high rank hack, or have good evidence of someone using an aimbot – please leave us a comment below if you have anything to share. We are hearing some reports which suggest that the hack showed in the video below no-longer works since the maintenance, therefore we will have to keep you posted as we hear more.

Update 1: We have heard from an anonymous source that one hacker is currently finalising some hacks for BF3, we seriously hope this is not the case. Perhaps today’s maintenance took place to patch vulnerabilities which hackers have been exploiting – we hope so.

Update 2: Over at the Steam forums someone is reporting a hack which Punkbuster didn’t pick up, this resulted in players being sent into the air, check out this link for more details.
