Battlefield 3 Gameplay Video Shows Particle Lighting, Looks Great

Battlefield 3 has been set to be released fall 2011 and fans are eagerly waiting for the chance to play it after so much time spent waiting. Today we can bring to you a video of the Battlefield 3 gameplay which has good reason to cause excitement. The video is not picture-perfect but it still delivers enough quality to be able to see the game and if you can excuse the poor sound quality it makes for a very exciting watch.

We have embedded the video at the end of the post, early-on you see the player using his active flashlight and crawling through air vents, then the action starts in a street, as you would expect there is lots of gunfire and mayhem as helicopters fly above and infantry run around the street, all the classic scenes you’d like to see from your favourite shooter. We did have to query the blood effects however whenever someone was shot, does anyone else think that looks a bit too fake?

We can see that gamers will be able to exploit their surroundings by accessing mounted guns, driving tanks, flying aircraft and by the looks of it even jump out of a plane, which all sounds pretty cool, also the game appears to have a quite appealing look and feel, what do you think?

The last part of the video shows the ‘particle lighting’ which appears to be an improvement in the way that lights shines through gases etc, all in all Battlefield 3 looks like a real treat for all first-person shooter fans.

Did the game footage impress you?
