One game which our readers are showing a lot of interest in is Battlefield 3, well we have been scouring the web for details regarding this game and today we have came across three things which we did not know, one of which is a rumor that shouldn’t be take too seriously just yet.
Let’s get the with the rumor, when Battlefield 3 arrives we may see a theatre mode similar to that of Call of Duty: Black Ops. If you check out this tweet you will see that somebody asked Battlefield’s Community Manager whether Battlefield 3 will have a theatre mode, he replies by saying “no comment on battlerecorder”. The fact that he replied to the tweet and also mentioned something called battlerecorder suggest that EA may have something up their sleeves, if not, surely he would have ignored the question or replied with a simple “no” to squash the rumor.
If you love your sniper rifles and plan to use them when playing Battlefield 3 we can pretty much confirm that snipers get bipods in the game, when using this you should notice better accuracy and stability, however we expect player movement to be slower when this is equipped. This news was revealed on BF3Blog and it has attracted a lot of attention, do you think that this is a good move on EA’s part?
Finally we have a little to tell you about kill delays / spawn shields, Battlefield3Gamer say that it has been confirmed that you can kill a guy who has just been revived, this might not shock you, but in other games freshly revived / spawned enemies are shielded for a few seconds, which can really mess up someone’s game plan. You can see the corresponding tweets here.
So there you have it folks it looks like Battlefield 3 may feature its own theatre mode called battlerecorder, it also looks like snipers will be able to use bipods and spawned / revived soldiers will not get any form of spawn shield. Whilst researching this article we also found out that you won’t be able to cook grenades and also the gun recoil will be similar to that of Battlefield 2142.
Lots of other neat Battlefield 3 information was revealed during E3 2011, if you some how missed all of this you can watch a video which gives you a recap video over at YouTube, we just can’t believe how realistic the graphics look, but that said we still desperately need to see some multiplayer footage.
