Battlefield 3 beta tips from DICE, turns newbies into tacticians

If you are finding it difficult to keep up with the frantic pace seen in the recently released Battlefield 3 beta, we think you’ll appreciate reading some tips on the Operation Metro map, and there’s no better experts on the map then developers EA DICE themselves.

To help you out a bit with the map, the developers have posted their top ten survival tips on the official Battlefield blog and reading them will give you the upper hand and provide you with a bit more assurance when you suddenly find out that half of your team has been wiped out around you.

Such tips include always sticking with your team and remembering to spawn close to them when you die. It seems like a fairly obvious one, but you’ll be surprised how many Battlefield players forget to choose the team respawn option and end up being alone miles away from the action.

Interestingly, DICE also warns players to look out for falling debris as it can harm players health, but at the same time DICE sees another advantage on the battlefield by using an engineer’s RPG to blast buildings away with enemies nearby. Shotguns are recommended for use nearby the tight tunnels section of Operation Metro, while DICE also remind players that dog tags can be acquired by performing a stealth kill with a knife behind an unsuspecting victim.

These tips will probably be seen as second nature for true Battlefield veterans, but if you are playing the Battlefield 3 beta for the first time with no experience of previous games, the tips from DICE are sure to come in handy. You can read the full list of tips here if you need help.

How are your experiences with the beta so far, are you enjoying it or have you found some areas that are worthy of criticism? On a side note, how many of you have used an RPG to kill enemies by falling debris?
