Batman: Arkham Origins story content imminent

Batman: Arkham Origins enthusiasts will be pleased to know some story based DLC is on its way with the upcoming story expansion Cold, Cold Heart. This will focus on villain Mr. Freeze and is expected to be around the same size as Arkham City’s Harley Quinn’s Revenge content.

Today we are highlighting the 22nd April as the date this expansion becomes available for download on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Below we have embedded a short teaser video which lasts under a minute, showing Bruce Wayne’s awards ceremony cut short with the arrival of Mr. Freeze.

Referring to last year’s comments by Ben Mattes, the senior producer, “this is a DLC that will focus on one of the most key relationships in Batman canon,” although we are still in the dark about the specifics and Warner Bros. are not letting anything slide just yet.

We know for sure that the Wii U will not be getting this DLC as Warner has refunded Season Passes in January and this brings us to a post from last month where we discussed DLC outrage on Wii U, as those owning the game on the Nintendo Wii U were wondering where the missing content is.

In addition, we understand that Wii U players will get the opportunity to experience the new HD port of Batman: Arkham Oranges’, the handheld spin-off, Blackgate and this launches on 2nd April for Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

We would love to know your thoughts on the Arkham Origins DLC, and whether you will be checking out the new HD port in just over a month’s time.
