Batman: Arkham City New Game Plus Mode specified

While we have been doing our best to provide you with all the latest news about Batman: Arkham City, some of you may be feeling we have been starving you of information recently as we may have neglected the game a little bit. So here we have some news of a new game mode that the title will feature called New Game Plus.

The news of this feature, which was not in the previous game, was first hinted at when the achievements list was revealed recently and has since been confirmed by developers, Rocksteady Studios. According to Eurogamer, who received their information from the Arkham City official forum, the mode is unlocked upon completion of the game on either the normal or hard difficulty setting.

New Game Plus mode enables players to go through the game again, this time with all the unlocked upgrades, XP and all the gadgets, which were gained the first time around, still equipped. There is a catch however, the difficulty of this mode is harder than the rest and cannot be customized, meaning bosses are harder to take out and enemies are organized in a different way as well as being tougher. Also counter icons that usually appear in combat will be disabled in this mode.

The new mode means a different experience second time around, making Arkham City the perfect buy for the hardcore gamers out there and also those who get bored easily. As for those of you who like a challenge, this sounds like the ultimate. Even those that like to get a lot out of a game should also be satisfied as their money will be well spent.

What do you think of New Game Plus mode? Will you be checking it out upon completion of the game once round?
