The so-called Apple iWatch might not need to release with a low price, or try to be one of the best value for money smartwatches, and this likelihood comes after Apple’s constant approach to pricing its products and the iPhone user base to help make an iWatch successful.
Not only could Apple launch an iWatch with a relatively high price, but we could witness Apple reinventing a whole market like they did with the original touchscreen phone, iPod for MP3 players, and iPad with tablets. Some people will point out that it’s been a while since Apple did anything truly innovative, so could the popular technology brand do this again without Steve Jobs?
We have heard about a “secret project” for a while now and even an ex-Apple employee, Bruce Tognazzini, has been stating the “iWatch is coming” during a recent interview. He makes it clear the iWatch is the secret project rather than a HDTV, which could be due to Apple having problems getting content providers signed up to their strategy.
Balancing iWatch price and features – we can expect a premium price for the iWatch, just like we see with most Apple products, and you shouldn’t expect any Apple smartwatch to be competitively priced. What will happen is a uniquely packaged product that aims to deliver the best level of health personalization for iPhone users.
The iPhone 6 won’t feature the health tracking abilities of an iWatch, even with iOS 8, but we can expect the updated mobile operating system to be built with a smartwatch in-mind that can track certain vital signs. This might be hydration, heart rate, blood pressure, and more but unlikely to feature Glucose sensing with the first generation iWatch.

Personally, we would be happy to pay a little more for the iWatch if it brings much better integration with my iMac, iPhone, and iPad. It is worth noting that the same can be said for Android users that would prefer a smartwatch integrating better with their choice of OS.
