Awaiting Canon EOS 70D visual review, real life performance

The Canon 70D is expected to be released towards the end of August, because while the DSLR was announced three weeks ago, Canon did not make any official announcement as to its final release date. The arrival of the 70D is generating some excitement, and we’re sure that many of you who have been waiting for the new model will be wondering if it will be worth the wait?

Because the anticipation level is so high many of you will now be awaiting the first Canon EOS 70D visual review just to get an idea of its real life performance. The results will be very important, especially when you consider its closest rival, the Nikon D7100 has been doing so well.

While there are plenty of Canon 70D preview videos, and already some comparison ones as well, which pits the 70D against the D7100 and the 60D, it’s the full Canon 70D review that we are looking for. It’s all very well looking over the specs of the new DSLR, but nothing will beat the real deal.

Having said that, a simple search on YouTube has generated a few interesting results, ones that we are a little skeptical of. We say this because there are few Canon EOS 70D test videos, along with a sample video as well. If these are the real deal, then the new DSLR from Canon is certainly aimed more for the video enthusiast, although the lack of headphone socket does seem a little strange.

The first video looks at some food items, and while the results look pretty decent, we do feel as though the colors could be more vibrant. The second Canon 70D video footage is of a bird in some grass, and the details are very impressive. The third and final video is of a car show, and the image and audio quality seem very impressive.

If these videos are the real deal, then canon could be onto a winner with the 70D.
